Farming
From our home in Perthshire, we run a flock of 400 breeding ewes, including white and black Cheviots, Scottish Blackface, Scotch Mules, Beltex, Texel and Shetland crosses.
The ethos of my practice is to promote the use of Scottish and British wool by using wool from our own flock and fleeces sourced from local farms and other parts of the UK, to produce a range of goods that are functional - strong, warm and durable - and unique, being hand crafted and hand dyed.
At the heart of my practice is a strong connection between farming and feltmaking, continuing the traditional and historical intertwinement of sheep farming and the use of wool and wool products for clothes and home.
